Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the SparkTube platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), including the SparkTube mobile application (Android version), official website (sparktube.top), and all services provided through the aforementioned channels (including core services such as short drama viewing, liking, and favoriting).

Developer's Contact Address: Mrs Blaise Helen Hawley 135 Lightwood Road, Buxton, SK17 6RW Buxton - SK17 6RW United Kingdom (GB);

User data is stored on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany.

We respect your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect your personal information, as well as the relevant rights you enjoy. By using the Platform, you agree to all terms of this Policy; if you do not agree, please stop using the Platform immediately.

 1. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to provide core services.

 1.1 Information You Voluntarily Provide

- Account Registration Information: When you register an account with a valid email address, you need to provide your email address (used to receive a verification code for identity verification). You warrant that this information is true, accurate, and complete.

- Customer Service Communication Information: When you submit feedback or request support via the contact email (support@sparktube.top), you may need to provide your user ID, email address, and problem description (e.g., screenshots) to facilitate our handling of your request.

- Clipboard Information (if applicable): We only access text information in your device's clipboard with your permission when you actively select the "paste" operation (e.g., pasting an email address for login). The information is immediately cleared after the operation, and no irrelevant content is retained.

 1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect the following information through technical means to ensure the normal operation of services and optimize user experience:

- Usage Behavior Information: Including your viewing history, like records, favorite records ("My Favorites" list), viewing duration, and the on/off status of push notifications. It is only used to analyze your content preferences and provide personalized short drama recommendations.

- Device Information: Including device model, unique device identifiers (e.g., Android ID, subject to your consent), system version, system language, IP address, network type, and browser information (if applicable). It is only used for device adaptation, service security, and abnormal login detection. You have the right to refuse authorization for collecting Android ID. Refusal will only prevent you from receiving targeted advertisements without affecting the use of core functions such as short drama viewing, liking, and favoriting.

- Local Storage and Caching: Temporary information (e.g., viewing progress, interface settings) is stored locally on your device through application data caching to improve video loading speed and reduce repeated data transmission. You can delete such information through device settings or the "Clear Cache" function within the Platform. Unintentionally cleared temporary cache will be automatically deleted within 7 days.

- Cookies and Similar Technologies: Cookies are text files on your device. We use Cookies to collect your browsing paths (e.g., frequently visited pages) and interaction behaviors (e.g., stay duration) for: ① remembering your login status (avoiding repeated verification); ② optimizing Platform functions; ③ measuring advertising effectiveness (if any). Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before use. You can disable Cookies through browser/device settings. Disabling Cookies may prevent you from using the "automatic login" function but will not affect the use of core services.

 2. How We Use Your Information

We only use your information for the following legitimate purposes, which do not exceed the scope necessary for core services:

- Provide and Maintain Services: Create and manage your account to ensure you can normally watch short dramas and use the like/favorite functions; record viewing progress for your convenience to resume playback; handle your customer service requests.

- Communication and Notifications: Send account-related notifications (e.g., verification codes, abnormal login alerts) to your email; send application update notifications (e.g., version upgrade reminders) through in-app push services; send marketing information (e.g., new short drama recommendations) to you. You can stop receiving such information through "Settings - Notification Management" or the "Unsubscribe" link in marketing emails.

- Optimize Experience and Personalized Recommendations: Analyze your viewing/favoriting behaviors to generate content preference profiles and recommend short dramas you may be interested in; adapt the interface (e.g., screen size, language) based on device information to ensure service stability.

- Security and Compliance: Detect and prevent illegal activities such as account theft, malicious attacks, and fake traffic to protect your account security; troubleshoot technical faults (e.g., crashes, freezes) to ensure the normal operation of the Platform; comply with applicable laws (e.g., EU GDPR, UK's Data Protection Law) and retain necessary information to respond to regulatory inspections.

- Automated Decision-Making Control: Personalized recommendations are based on automated algorithm processing and do not have legal effect or significant impact. You can disable this function through the "Settings - Personalized Recommendations" switch. After disabling, only popular or random short dramas will be displayed.

 3. How We Share Your Information

Except as expressly provided in this Privacy Policy, we will not share your personal information with any third party. We may share your information in accordance with legal requirements or with your consent in the following circumstances:

 3.1 Sharing with Your Consent
